Dr. Zachary Tan is an Orthopaedic Surgeon and a Spine Surgeon. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) and Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). He specializes in general orthopedics, sports medicine, hip and knee replacements, and spinal surgery. Dr. Tan received his medical school training at the University of Alberta. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of Toronto. He completed an additional year of fellowship training in Complex Spine Surgery at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto. Dr. Tan has a full time high volume community orthopaedic practice in Washington State, just south of the BC border. Dr. Tan is passionate about providing all Canadian patients with rapid access concierge orthopaedic care, and believes Canadian patients should have the option of receiving their orthopedic and spine consultations within days of inquiry, and surgery (if necessary) within 4 weeks. Luke graduated from Vancouver Career College of Massage Therapy in 2017. Prior to that, Luke obtained a bachelor in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University in 2010, with a minor in active rehab.
During his time at SFU, Luke volunteered at GF Strong Rehab Centre in assisting individuals with spinal cord injuries to participate in cycle training with electrical stimulation.
